The Archdiocesan Spirituality Center is offering two wonderful opportunities this year for those seeking a deeper connection with God through a Directed Retreat. A directed retreat is a time of complete silence, where each participant meets daily with a spiritual director. The retreatant is provided with scripture for personal prayer and reflection, spending the remainder of their time in silence, prayer, and rest. This sacred experience allows individuals to become more attuned to God's presence and action in their lives, guided by the daily meetings with a spiritual director. This year, two separate retreat options are available. The first is a Five-Day Silent Directed Retreat, held at the serene Cenacle on the Lake in Metairie, Louisiana. This retreat will begin on Thursday, July 24 at 4:00 PM and conclude on Wednesday, July 30 after breakfast. The second opportunity is a more flexible retreat at the Jesuit Spirituality Center in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, where participants can choose from three, five, or eight days of silent prayer. These retreats run from June 21 to June 30, offering a peaceful setting for personal reflection and spiritual growth. For more details or to register, visit the respective websites or contact the centers directly. This retreat experience offers a unique opportunity for individuals to deepen their relationship with God and renew their spiritual lives in a quiet and prayerful environment.
