The Annual Archdiocesan Spirituality Center Gala will honor Sister Dorothy Trosclair, O.P. this year. Affectionally known as Sr. Dot, she will be retiring at the end of August after fifteen years of transformational leadership as Executive Director of ASC. This past April, Sr. Dot celebrated fifty years of dedicated service to the Church and her Dominican community.
As Executive Director, Sr. Dot launched a two-year Spiritual Direction Internship Program in Lafayette and Baton Rouge, while enhancing the program in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She has trained countless lay and religious leaders across Louisiana. She has mentored hundreds of Certified Directors now serving in parishes and retreat centers far beyond the boundaries of our Archdiocese as well as teachers in the mentorship program. At the same time, she has worked tirelessly serving as a Spiritual Director, offering retreats, workshops, days of prayer and traveling the state to foster the ministry of ASC rooted in Ignatian Spirituality.
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, we will have an opportunity to personally thank Sr. Dot during the Gala for her visionary leadership, untiring dedication and prayer witness. Please join as we celebrate her amazing legacy.
