Transitional Deacons
On Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Louis Cathedral, Archbishop Aymond ordained Brett Barrios, William Sigl, Joseph Ky Thanh Bui, and James Vu to the Transitional Diaconate for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, and Allan Tembesi for the Archdiocese of Tororo.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 10:00am at the St. Louis Cathedral, Archbishop Checchio will ordain Hoang Pham and Seth Smith to the Transitional Diaconate for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. The Ordination Mass will be televised by WLAE-TV and live streamed at TheDailyMass.comPriestly Ordination
On Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Louis Cathedral, Archbishop Aymond ordained Deacon Joseph Martello to the Presbyterate for the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

In a bright, sunny and warm December morning, five men were changed forever as they were ordained to the Transitional Diaconate - one of the final stages of formation in preparation to the priesthood.
