In his first encyclical, Pope Leo XIV presents a Christian handbook for our world in this technocratic age. 135 years ago, Pope Leo XIII reshaped the Industrial Revolution through Rerum Novarum. 58 years ago, through Humane Vitae, Pope St. Paul VI predicted the culture of death. In Magnifica Humanitas, Pope Leo XIV builds upon these documents and presents a plan and warning for our world as it enters the AI revolution. In this workshop, we will explore the new encyclical and the message it holds as we work to move from a culture of power to a civilization of love.
